Gararge Roof Complete

Saturday 1th January

There was a crew at the block on Saturday morning, completing the garage roof and prepping the floor for tiling on the front balcony.

Tiling Started

Thursday 29th January

We finally met our Site Supervisor today Chris.  Had a good meeting and feel like we are in good hands.  The tilers made a start today and finished the upstairs powder room and part of the bathroom. 

Scaffolding, Tile Delivery and Cupboard Fittings

Wednesday 28th January 

Today scaffolding was put up so the garage roof can be finished. 

All the insides of the cupboards, walk in robes and pantry were fitted out today with shelves and rails.

We also got a big delivery of tiles, which includes outside, inside and feature tiles

Monday 26th January

We were away for the Australia Day long weekend but the builders worked! We dropped by Monday evening to find the roof frame up. 

Painting Finished

Friday 23rd January

Checked out the progress before dinner and were surprised to find that the painting was competed. Final coats on walls, doors, skirts, frames, etc.  Really happy with the color choice and finish.

Scaffold Removed

Wednesday 21st January

The scaffold around the perimeter of the house has been removed.  Guys were working past 7pm to pull it down. 

 

Painting has continued inside - looks like they have completed the gloss paint

The place is looking great, with the beginning of the painting process starting today. 

Painting Started

Saturday 17th January

Looks like the painters have started.  Gap sealer put on and some cutting in started.

 

  Blue-board has been installed to to the back balcony and cement sheet flooring to both balconies.

 

Eaves, Floor Sand & Plaster

Wednesday 14th January

Seems like PD are back into it!  Checked on the site today and found that the eaves have been installed, floors sanded upstairs and some final plasterwork is being completed around the stairs and wardrobes.

Met with a landscaper today about the retaining walls needed down the side and the back of the block - just waiting on his price.  We are looking to use the concrete patterned sleepers.  The retaining wall at the back corner of the block will be nearly 2m tall!!

We have also sent an application to South East Water to get our tap and water meter relocated.  At present it is in the middle of our driveway.
