Today we were back to Hopetoun Interiors for our tile appointment. We were dreading it a bit, because we didn't feel confident in the range that we were offered (through National Tiles) However, with help from our consultant Priscilla, we picked out tiles for the floor, bathroom, powder rooms, ensuite, balconies, feature tiles and the kitchen splashback. There was a lot to think about, like the size and shape of the tiles, the orientation that they will be layed and of course the all important grout colour.. (You know how much I love good looking grout!) When we left the showroom we felt great - really happy with all our choices - pretty much everything is done now, we are ready to sign the final contract and submit the plans to council!
Here are a few of our choices, it's actually really hard to take good photos of tiles, the colours never come out quite as nice as they are in real life..but you get the general idea
Rear and Front balcony tiles, and possibly the front outside entrance Portifino Basalt External 400x400 |
Main floor tile Belgium Stone Diamond Natural 600x600 |
Our bathroom/powder rooms/ensuite/laundry combinations |
Feature tile Silk Olive 300x600 This tile will be in a few different places in the wet areas |
Benchtops in all the bathrooms/powder rooms. Essastone Crystal Chalk |
Kitchen Splashback - Revival Kate#4 Ebony This is a glass tile from Southern Cross Ceramics |
This gives an indication of what the splashback will look like (not what our kitchen will look like) |
Hi Alli. Thanks for including me in your friends group. It will be fun to see your new home progressing. The land looks so pretty. Lucky you to have an ocean view.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to reading more .

Love all the tile choices you made too! The glass back splash looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rheba and Barb, it was a lot of fun making all the choices. A bit overwhelming at times, but still fun!
